A couple more shots from the road

New Zealand, about three times the size of Nova Scotia has extremely variable landscapes ranging from scrub grassland on the leeward sides of the mountains to lush sub tropical rainforests.

At the time we were in Akaroa a watering ban was in effect due to the lack of rainfall and the drying of the local feeder streams.

At the same time, near Fairlee farmers were openly irrigating their sheep pastures, many pastures seemed overgrazed.
