Queenston is the rich cousin of Kingston

On the road to Queenston - lake Wanaka

More glorious NZ Scenery.

They are on the same lake but Queenston is a booming tourist town.

If you like to shop, there is much for you here but if you like to ski? well heli skiing is to be had and many many peaks to be dropped at.

Of particular significance are the remarkables: in Queenston they majestically stand on the other side of the lake making this town stand out from its poor cousin.

Parking in Queenston can be a challenge but I managed this job right at the waterfront. We grabbed some bistro coffee and came back and made our own bistro sandwiches.

Think of the best vacation you've ever been on and multiply it by ten to describe this trip and the scenery on it.

You think it would be good but its better than you might think.

Since we've traveled around the planet to be here, we're not holding anything back.

What does one purchase in New Zealand? Definitely anything to do with the ALL BLACKS rugby team, and don't forget your Icebreaker merino wool ... anything.

Some shots in and around Queenston.
